Seeding and team order
The order you type the teams in is their seeding: number 1 is the favourite. Groups are filled in a snake pattern using that order and, in the bracket, seeds 1 and 2 can only meet in the final.
- In “Teams (in seeding order)”, type the best team first and carry on in order.
- If you have them in a list, paste the whole thing: each line is a team.
- Tap “See proposal” and check the “Groups”.
Teams are split in a snake pattern so the groups are balanced. With 8 teams in 2 groups: group A, 1, 4, 5 and 8; group B, 2, 3, 6 and 7.
In a “Knockout”, seeds 1 and 2 go into opposite halves of the bracket: they can only meet in the final.
Prefer a draw? Do it the usual way (names in a hat…) and type the teams in the order they come out.
In the proposal you can also swap teams between groups by hand, when creating it or, until the first match, with “Change teams, dates or format”.
