Help centre Preparing the tournament
Changing the tournament after creating it
Go into the tournament and use the buttons at the top. “Tournament details” (name, venue, texts and team names) can always be changed. Until the first match, “Change teams, dates or format” changes everything; once it's started, “Hours and courts”.
- Open “Tournaments” and go into the tournament.
- Tap “Tournament details” to change the name, the venue, “About the tournament”, “Rules” or the team names, then tap “Save changes”.
- Before the first match, tap “Change teams, dates or format”: the create form opens with your details. Change whatever you need, tap “See proposal” and then “Save the changed tournament”. The tournament keeps its link.
- If the tournament has already started, tap “Hours and courts” to extend or bring forward each day's hours and add courts.
What can be changed at each stage:
- Always: name, venue, website texts, team names and correcting results.
- Before the first match (none started and the first day hasn't passed): everything, including teams, dates, format, categories and rules. The schedule is rebuilt and checked again.
- Once started: moving and delaying matches, withdrawing teams, marking “No-show”, voiding group matches, extending the hours and adding courts.
- Finished more than two days ago: only texts, names and result corrections.
Once the tournament has started, the sport, the dates, the teams (adding or removing), the format, the categories and the rules are locked. That way a tournament that's been played can't be reused as if it were a different one. If you try, you'll see a warning such as “The tournament has started: dates can’t be changed (each day’s hours can).”
If you rebuild the tournament before it starts, any ties you'd decided are lost: TournAI recalculates everything.
If you need this, tell us from the assistant (“Write to a person”): it helps us decide what to improve.
