The scorer says “Match finished”
A finished match can't be touched from the scorer any more: only the organiser can correct it, from “Today”, with “Correct result”. Pass the right result to the table.
- Write down the correct result on paper. If the match is still going, keep the score on paper until the end.
- Let the organiser or the table know.
- The organiser goes into “Today”, chooses the court, opens “Finished (n)” and taps “Correct result”.
- They enter the right score and confirm it. The site and the standings update themselves.
In the scorer, matches under “Finished” are greyed out, and if someone tries to save one they get “Match finished. Only the organiser can correct it.”. That's deliberate: it stops anyone accidentally changing a closed result.
A finished match doesn't go back to “Live” and its sheet no longer opens in the scorer. If it was closed halfway, the rest goes on paper and the organiser corrects it at the end with the final result. Meanwhile, the site shows the result at the time it was closed.
Remind referees to read the score out loud before tapping “Yes, finish”.
