Taking card payments for registrations
In “Account” › “Card payments” tap “Connect payments” and finish the sign-up on Stripe. Then choose the card option in the registration form. The money goes straight to your club; TournAI keeps 2% of each registration.
- In the dashboard, go to “Account” and tap “Card payments”.
- Tap “Connect payments”. Stripe opens: create your club's account or use the one you already have, and enter the club's details, the person in charge and the bank account.
- If you leave it half-done, come back and tap “Finish Stripe sign-up”.
- When it's ready you'll see “Done: your club can now take card payments for registrations…”.
- In the tournament's “Registrations” tab, set a price, choose “Card through the TournAI gateway (2% fee)” and tap “Save form”.
The team pays when registering with “Register and pay …”, or later from their receipt with “Pay … by card”. Once Stripe confirms the payment, the registration changes to “Paid” by itself. If they had already paid in another tab, the receipt reloads and shows “Paid” without charging again. If they paid by bank debit and it's still going through, they'll see “Your previous bank debit payment is still being processed. Check this receipt again in a few days.”
- Fees: 2% of each registration for TournAI, plus Stripe's fee, which the club pays. No fixed fees. Bank transfer has no fee.
- The money goes straight to your club's Stripe account, and Stripe pays it out to your bank. TournAI never holds it.
- Refunds: you make them from your Stripe (“Open my Stripe”). The registration is then marked “Refunded”. TournAI's 2% is not refunded.
- The minimum card price is €1.
- “To review”: if a team pays a different amount, pays twice or a bank debit fails, the registration shows “To review” with what you need to do (see “Online team registration”).
- If you disconnect TournAI from your own Stripe, card payment stops showing: forms that charged by card appear closed to teams, and “Connect payments” shows again in “Card payments”. Connecting again creates a new Stripe account. Meanwhile, you can switch the form to bank transfer.
If you see “Card payments are not available on this site yet. You can collect by bank transfer.”, use bank transfer for now.
Your club is responsible for taking payments for its registrations: price, terms and refunds. Make this clear in the “Registration terms”.
