Starting from a template
When you create a tournament, pick one of the 9 templates under “Start from a template”: it fills in the sport, format, courts, schedule and rules. Then you only add the name, the date and the teams.
- Open the create-tournament form: “New tournament” in the dashboard or “Create tournament” on the home page.
- At the top, under “Start from a template”, look at the ones shown or tap “See all 9 templates”.
- Tap the one that fits. You'll see “Template “…” applied. Add the name, the date and the teams; everything else can be changed too.”
- Type the name, the date and the team names. Change anything else if you like.
- Tap “See proposal”.
The template fills in the sport, the rules (with match duration and rest), the courts, the days and times, the format and the number of teams (“Team 1…” or “Pair 1…”). Anything you had already typed in the name, venue, date and teams stays. On two-day templates, when you enter the first date the second fills itself in.
- “Padel morning · 16 pairs”: 4 groups of 4 and quarter-finals, on 4 courts.
- “Summer beach volleyball · 12 pairs”: 4 groups of 3 and quarter-finals, on 3 courts.
- “Youth volleyball · 8 teams”: 2 groups of 4, semi-finals and final.
- “7-a-side four-team tournament”: 4 teams, round robin, on one pitch.
- “Youth 7-a-side football · 8 teams”: 2 groups of 4, semi-finals and final.
- “Weekend futsal · 12 teams”: 4 groups of 3 and quarter-finals, Saturday and Sunday.
- “3x3 basketball · 16 teams”: 4 groups of 4 and quarter-finals.
- “Tennis doubles · 8 pairs”: 2 groups of 4, semi-finals and final.
- “Handball round robin · 6 teams”: round robin, 15 matches.
If you arrive with a sport chosen on the home page, its templates come first. Templates only appear when you create: they don't show when you edit a tournament that already exists.
Some go beyond the Free plan (more than 12 teams, 3 courts or 1 day): the card shows a padlock. You can still pick it and remove teams, courts or days before saving.
There are no templates for padel americanos with changing partners or for team tennis, because TournAI doesn't have those formats.
