Organising your next tournament
Create a new one with “New tournament” or from the home page. You can't duplicate the previous one, but you can paste the whole team list. Each tournament has its own link and scorer code.
- In “Tournaments”, tap “New tournament”. You can also describe your tournament in a sentence on the home page, or pick a template under “Start from a template”, and TournAI fills in the form.
- For the teams, copy the names from the previous tournament's “Teams” tab and paste them all at once into the first field: each line is a team.
- Tap “See proposal”, check it and tap “Confirm and create”. It's saved as a draft.
- Publish it and send out the new link and scorer code: they're not the same as the previous tournament's.
The previous tournament stays as it was, with its results. If you no longer want it visible, use “Unpublish” or “Delete tournament”.
A tournament that's been played can't be reused for another one: as soon as it starts, its dates, teams and format are locked. On the Free plan (and the trial) you can create 2 tournaments per season, from 1 September to 31 August, and 6 with Club.
Are your tournaments events in the same series? With the Organiser plan you can group them into a circuit with a ranking (see “Circuits and rankings across several tournaments”).
Anyone who followed their team with “My team” will have to pick it again in the new tournament.
