Circuits and rankings across several tournaments

With the Organiser plan, in “Circuits” you group several of your tournaments and TournAI adds up each team's points for its final place into one overall ranking, with its own public page. Start with “Create circuit”.

  1. In the dashboard, go to “Circuits” and tap “Create circuit”.
  2. Under “Settings”, enter the “Name” and, if you like, the “Sport” and the “Season”.
  3. Under “Circuit events”, tick the tournaments that belong to it (up to 40). In the ranking they go in date order.
  4. Check “Points by final place”, the “Tiebreak” and “Events that count”.
  5. Tap “Save circuit”. The “Teams” tab opens: join the ones that are the same team and tap “Save matching”.
  6. Look at the “Ranking” tab and tap “View public ranking” to share it.

How points work

  • Each team scores the points for its final place in each event. By default: 1st 100, 2nd 80, 3rd 60, 4th 50, 5th–8th 30 and “Other places” 10. Change the table with “Add band” or go back to the usual one with “Back to the template”.
  • If several teams share a place (for example, those knocked out in the quarter-finals), they all get the points for the best of those places.
  • “Points for taking part” are added to every team with a place in the event.
  • An event only scores once it has finished. Until then it shows “To come”.
  • “Tiebreak”: “Most wins” or “Latest event”. If they're still level, they share the place.
  • With “Only the best”, each team counts its N best events; the others appear in brackets.
  • If the tournaments have several categories, each has its own ranking: give them the same names in every event.

The same team in several events

Names written the same way (ignoring capitals, accents, punctuation and the order of a pair) add up together by themselves. Under “Are they the same team?” TournAI suggests similar names: tap “Join” or “Not the same”. You can also use “Join with…” or split an entry off with the X. When you've finished, tap “Save matching”.

With “Public ranking on the web” switched on, the ranking has its own page with your club's badge and colours. It's linked from every published event in the circuit, from your club page and from the club website. Only published events appear.

Circuits are part of the Organiser plan: on any other plan, “Create circuit” shows a padlock. If your account stops having the Organiser plan, your circuits stay online but can't be changed; you can delete them.
